Richard qualified at Guy’s Hospital in
1993, and was immediately accepted onto the staff, where he
stayed for 18 months. During this early stage he was fortunate
to work with Professor Brånemark, the discoverer of Osseointegration,
the foundation of all modern day dental implants.
He then continued
his training at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and from there
the world famous Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
Richard
continued with his implantology studies under Professor
R.B. Johns at the Institute for Dental Implants, which included
further episodes of tuition under Professor Brånemark
himself at the world famous institute in Sweden. These culminated
in Richard being the first person in this country to place
the revolutionary Brånemark Novum System. He then became
a part-time lecturer at King’s College Hospital Dental
School, and latterly conducts training courses for post graduate
dentists on Dental Implantology.
Various dental implant and oral surgery take up the remainder
of his time referral services at centres of excellence throughout
the South East, along with his practice in Mayfair – London,
where he has also developed an enviable reputation in the field
of cosmetic dentistry. |
